#150077 - thanks Responding to: ???'s previous message |
When IAR updated their compiler with version 6.10, the world changed. Bit identification, internal endianess...
They produced a converter, but they placed more emphasis on converting Keil to their new product, than they did converting previous users to their new product. I was never able to get anything useful out of the converter. My 'analysis' of IAR has never led to impressive results and this, makes me even less likely to switch. Why have I considered switching? Definitely not because of dissatisfaction with Keil. However, I will, in a few weeks, pull a product made by an outside company based on the AVR in house and was thinking of "using just one compiler brand for simplicity". So, the above "illustration of the IAR support level" made me finally decide to stay with Keil and live with the 'confusion' resulting from using two brands. Thanks. Erik |
