Thank you all for the advice. I apologize if I used the wrong terms yet again with regards to quasi-bidirectional. I have read the FAQ a number of times and *think* it's starting to sink in. Stefan Kanev, thank you very much for showing me the equation you used to calculate the proper resistor value on P3.4. Is that equation generally the best way to size a series resistor when the port has an internal pull-up? Re. my diagram, no secrecy is intended or desired. I drew that in Visio quikly last night and thought I had provided enough information. Thank you for your patience, Brian |
