#151312 - No need to apologize, Brian... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The name, Jan, may indeed be misleading in your context - it is the local form of the greek/latin Johannes name (of a hebrew origin), which turns up in a very wide range of forms worldwide: the russian Ivan, german Hans, english John, spanish Juan - all stem from the same root, yet they are very different in spelling and pronounciation.
My surname - which can barely be pronounced without risk of toungue injury by native English speakers :-) - comes from a slavic given name Vaclav (e.g. the former Czech writer-president, Vaclav Havel), Waclawek is a diminuitive form of the polish variation of the name. --- Just a general note: it's never a good idea to push something to the edge. So, the allowable range of pullups is xxx-yyy, the routine is to choose something value around 2/3 of the range (very roughly), to allow for various minor variations of this and that, without thinking about it too much. It's only if the task is very demanding, e.g. consumption has to be minimised, when it comes to precise calculations and trying to take into account all possible influences. Jan Waclawek |
