one distributor told me that Philips is about to discontinue that chip but one guy at Philips told me that they weren´t.
It could be that the distributor was talking about one particular version of the chip (eg, specific package or temperature-range option), whereas the Philips guy was being more generic. Or maybe Philips are withdrawing the franchise from that distributor? In general, I'd trust a manufacturer over a distrubutor - unless you have any particular experience to the contrary with either of these two guys? |
