#151990 - P89C669 Obsolete, looking for replacement.
Got This message from NXP:

"The P89C669 will be discontinued. Orders can be placed till October 2009. The last delivery will be in Dec 2009."

As we are using this chip in production I have started looking for a replacement.

It is an old project. We started about 13 years ago with a standard 8052 chip. In time the program has grown and we have switched processor a couple of times. It has always been possible to find another 51-derivative with the required spec.

Moving to a totally different platform, would cause me a lot of work. Therefore, as first choice, I am looking for another 51.

The MX-core has a lot of benefits that I like. But ofcourse there is always bankswitching....

I have found AT89C51RE2, I think it would do the job.

Does anyone know about other similar 51-chips?

Key requirements, minimum as 669, in terms of:

>= 24MHz/6clock = 4MIPS
>= 96k Flash
>= 2k RAM
2 Uarts
I2C, SPI or other synchronus.
