If you can find a derivative that's cheap and fulfills most of your requirements, it might be worth it to think about adding the missing functionality (e.g. a second UART) as an external add-on.
Or, depending on your application, it might be possible to use a faster MCU with less ROM and optimize the program for size at the expense of CPU cycles. |
