No ... I think it should be One schematic on One sheet, with the disclaimer that, "If you can't figure out how this applies to your needs, then to hell with you." That's the position that they ultimately take anyway.

The parallel programming methods were not, for a long time, published with many devices, but one example where it was provided is the original datasheet for the i8751. Several others have provided it as well.

p.s. Has anyone got a copy of the original data sheet (~ September 2000) for the DS89C420?
