#154560 - anything you can read that is ...
Responding to: ???'s previous message
.. fast enough.
Can I use an LDR for ambient light sensor (easier to obtain) or do I need a dedicated ambient light sensor like the one used in laptops?
you need to turn the sign off while measuring ambient (but short enogh that the human eye can not detect it).
We use a cheap l/f converter that is (used to be) made by TI. I am not at work and can not look it up.
