#154578 - LCD glass Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I think the lcd glass for the Butterfly is custom. As to whether it draws less current is debateable once you factor the drive electronics into the equation. The Butterfly uses an AVR that has specific lcd glass drive circuitry, if you're using a 8051 style micro, then you need a driver ic to interface with the lcd glass.
As for standard lcd glass, many suppliers have a 31/2 digit seven segment display very cheap - like used in multimeters. http://www.futurlec.com/LCDDisp.shtml Mr Shivram, could you please use the full word instead of sms style abbreviations - us native english speaking folk have trouble reading your posts - it also is bad practice for when you have to write professionally. Personally, when I see abbreviations like you use, I perceive the person to be uneducated. So, improve people's perception of you and write the full word! |
