Oh, I was not aware that use of a LCD controller is a must for using an LCD glass. Any suggestions for such LCD controller ICs?
Well if you ask me, I want a generic low power LCD for all my projects. I have a feeling that the LCD glass+LCD controller should consume less power than a single dot matrix LCD that I usually use without any driver chip. Various digital clocks/thermometers seem to have an exceedingly long battery life with such LCDs. But they probably use other micros like the ultra-low power msp430(which is again OT here). In one line my goal is: To bring down the power consumption of my display subsystem in all my projects. regards, Seemanta |
