#154846 - again: OE will not work Responding to: ???'s previous message |
1. Does Master knows how many maximum slaves are there?
Irrelevant, if you include that you will be screwed some day in the future. 2. Is it possible for you to introduce hierarchy of slaves? what good would that do and how would you do it 3. As you said earlier is it only the problem before knowing IDs at power on. NO, you can save them (in both master and slave) once they are found out 4. Is it possible to change logic of OE atleast for this part of power on. GET RID OF OE, as said in my previsous post there is no way it will work (reliably) when master sends request for ID, (AAh, 01h, CCh), let the slaves start a timer.. requires unique code for each slave, not a good idea. All is resolved in the two threads my previous post referred to. Just waiting for the OP to accept that OE will not work (see previous post as to why) Two possibilities: a) hardcode in slaves and master the IDs (and priorities and ...) b) use the techniques in the two referred threads.
