You have many choices as how to get the file across to the 8051. My suggestion would be to use the serial port and send the file from the PC to the 8051. I used xmodem protocol when I was prototyping with a fpga and downloaded the bitstream from the pc to the fpga. The fpga didn't use JTAG though. I seem to recall some option to convert the XSVF file to a binary image which was then downloaded to the fpga. Make Google your friend. |
