I do not know about the 1st or 2nd part thing that AP brought up and just what he is thinking about there.
But there may be some legitimacy of going to an ARM core for an embedded system if the product developer wants to support user code. (Please don't think I would champion this idea in any of my products). It is possible to embed the Linux OS into a product that is based on ARM core type products and then with embedded FLASH file system and other OS type feature present the ability to install and run user program becomes a reasonable possibility. Far more reasonable than on a '51 in any case!! Michael Karas |
