Hello all,
I a starting with NXP P89V51RD2BN and having troubles with it. I use Keil uVision and flashmagic tool. I use pc-max232-microcontroler cable using gnd, tx and rx lines. For start I tried simple code (toggle ports). Using Flashmagic, I programmed the code and it programs and verifies ok. But microcontroller does not work. Oscilator is 11.059 and works ok. I have 1/6 of osc frequency on ALE pin. I tried reset, switching of power and still the same. EA is pulled high. I guess micro is somehave stucked in bootloader? I noticed "GO/Execute" button in flashmagic, but it is disabled (grayed). What should i do to enable it? Same hardware and code works ok with atmel 89s8253. I tried also "enable softice" option, but it does not help. Can someone explain what "softice" is? I looked in 89v51rd2 datasheet and it does not say much about it. P.S. 2 NXP chips I have, have bootloader v6 installed. thanks for help! regards, Damjan |
