Can someone explain what "softice" is? I looked in 89v51rd2 datasheet and it does not say much about it. A customized version of Keil's FlashMON, not requiring any of the internal XRAM. Burned together with the bootloader into Block1 in factory. Manual to be find on SST's website (this chip is a relabelled SST chip, see my previous posts on this forum on this topic). P.S. 2 NXP chips I have, have bootloader v6 installed. Never heard of bootloader v6 - NXP had v4 by default in the chips, v5 was offered through their website and v7 is on the FlashMagic website. Are these new, intact chips? How do you know it's v6? JW |
