#155771 - Reasons for not 2 ATMEL Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi and thank you for your attention to me:
This is an academic project and one of its requirments is that software must interoperate. So it is not a good idea to have at least 2 equal microcontrollers having the exactly same software stack (operating system, communication stack and middleware) So I am liking the 8051 and now I have to purchaise a board. Cant find a vendor for the board Erik mentioned. What about the size of programs on ATMEL and 8051 are different? What does this meant? I dindt understood :-( Look to this board: http://www.newmicros.com/index2.ph...ITXqTAOb3u It has exactly the memory ammount I need and have a good price and uses gcc compiller. Please it this a good board to purchaise or it have some desadvantages I cant see? As I said I need 128K program memory, about 32 RAM , C programming and an emulator... Many thanks Alex |
