#157195 - in series!!

you can't, LEDs have quite a tolerance on Vf
BUT, you can connect them in series.

I think if I connect them in series I need to increase the driving voltage otherwise I would get lower brightness. Each VF around 2VDC then I need 10VDC power supply which will complicate my design.
So the reason behinde putting LEDs in parallel is that if 1 led breaks the other 4 break as well, I don't think so because I'm driving each LED with 30mA and they can tolerate 70mA each.
If 1 LED breaks I don't mind the other 4 to break as long as there is no risk of fire!
Why would LEDs break when they are rated for 100,000 working hours?
