#157395 - this is an 'RD2 - sibling Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The obvious choices used by quite a lot of participants of this Forum are Atmel's and NXP's 'RD2 (AT89C51RD2/ED2, P89V51RD2) - both come with factory-programmed bootloader. I don't know whether the SST's equivalent comes with preprogrammed bootloader or not. Then there are less-conservative derivatives, such as the Ramtron Versa's or the ST's uPSD32xx, but there's the added cost of learning curve. More derivatives can be found via Keil's database. However, all of these will barely beat Winbond's (Nuvoton's ;-) ) pricetag - I am using digikey as a rough guide myself, and the W78E516 are now quoted $2.45 for a few hundred...
You perhaps might also consider involving your supplier in programming the bootloader into the parts...? JW |
