#157422 - Can you clarify ?
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Stefan,

Can you clarify what you meant ...

Did you mean to say you built your own parallel programmer ?

What did you mean by "... pre-programming can be made by another 8052 ..." ?

I have built a device specific parallel programmer in the past, and might consider for the Winbond chips.

I have just seen that I can get the Dallas/Maxim DS89C450 in a 40 pin DIP directly from Maxim for ~$11 in single quantities. That actually might be a better route for me ... they blaze along with machine cycle times of as little as 33 nS !

That's less then twice the cost of the fastest Winbond uC in a similar type of package. Once I settle on a part I will likely buy a dozen of them, so ~ $132 for the Dallas chips with no headaches is a reasonable deal compared to ~ $65 for the Winbond chips and the need to parallel program them first.

Thanks
