i too had same situation with AT89C52 and NVRAM DS1230, it was not reading or writing from NVRAM (MOVX instr.) i used 12MHz xtal. but i used DS89C450 in place of 89C52 and it worked perfectly! i wonder if 89C52 is far too slow to interface with fast NVRAM like DS1230 (100 or 70 ns) Arun |
