Dear Mike,
Have you checked whether the pin is toggling indipendently? Write a small program that will toggle the P1.0 with specific timing (lets say every 1 sec pin changes its logic) Check this with an oscilloscope. This will make sure that MCU is proper. Run this program in two conditions & Reply back, 1> when nothing is connected to P1.0 2> with all the connections Regards, Mahesh |
