At least Atmel uses TWI in their documentation.
From Wikipedia: TWI (Two Wire Interface) is essentially the same bus implemented on various system-on-chip processors from Atmel and other vendors. [8] Vendors use the name TWI due to trademark licensing issues. (Patents on I²C have now lapsed.) |
