#159523 - not really an answer, but .... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Trying to get into the microcontroller world of programming.
Which is better for learning purposes? 8051 or AVR/ARM Risc? I already know asm,c/c++, etc.. ... the cheapest way to get something with a full (albeit limited to 4k) tool suite (editor, assembler. C compiler, ICE, IDE, ....) is to buy a SILabs devkit $14 - $149 depending on features one added comment: I would not consider the AVR, the '51 and ARM are "industry wide" the AVR is "single supplier" Erik |
