One thing that matters to me at the moment is that I don't want to have to provide a command and addresses to start the process, if that can be avoided. I've considered using the XC18Vxx series XILINX sells for booting their FPGA's. They run until they get a "done" (actually nCS) signal from the FPGA, but the XILINX-provided tools don't seem to support writing a random binary bit stream to them, which is what I want to do.
Have you been able to ascertain wheter these RAMTRON parts, which do require a command and a starting address in order to cause them to regurgitate their content, are actually avaiable? RE |
