I'm in the UK, using the Keil C51 toolset, and the Triscend E5.

Being in Europe (or, should I say, outside the USA?) I have to use a "dongle" (hardware key) with the Keil tools.

Far from being transparent, the Keil dongle seems to significantly mess-up the communication bewteen the parallel port and the Triscend JTAG.

Another shameless plug. Raisonance makes a code and directive compatible package that doesn't require a dongle. If you get the Enterprise kit it is more code efficient as well. We will be releasing a Triscend compatible package within a couple of weeks certainly no later than mid December.

More efficient, lower price, no dongle and all of your existing code will run.
