Nothing magic about a UART.
What is important is (non-complete list): - bandwidth - number of kB of data to process/second. - block size - long stream to encrypt or small packets. - allowed code size - allowed RAM size - detect error for resend, or repair error instead of resend - required cryptographic strength - really require encryption, or just signing |
