"WHY?" is a very valid and often helpful question!

Sometimes, we just get too focussed on one particular implementation and it'd actually be better (and possibly easier) to adopt a different approach.

That's the beauty of a forum like this - getting a fresh perspective on the problem!

Also, in taking time to fully describe your application, the answer quite often reveals itself to you before you've finished asking the question!
