#167356 - The MAX232 is on a different board Responding to: ???'s previous message |
We made a cable for the ISP purpose. At one end,
this cable connects to the serial port of the PC. At the other end, it ends in a "MAX232 board". The MAX232 connects to the HMI board via the D9 connector shown in the schematic. The MAX232 is not needed in normal operation of the HMI board. So, we put it on a separate board. We have verified over a hundred times that the MAX232 board works nicely with the HMI board (with a P89C51RD2BN in it) for ISP purpose. I said as much in my post on the flashmagic forum. May I know what I am missing by not showing the MAX232 part of the schematic along with the HMI board's schematic? Thank you. |
