I must admit, that I never used graphic LCD.
I know only, that for text LCD mostly the HD44780 controller was used. So the HD44780 can be named as a standard.

If you know, that also on graphic LCD mostly only one controller was used, than it seems the best, you tell us the manufacturer and the name of this controller.
And then I assume you get better results, if you search for code for this controller and not for graphic LCD.


But if you want to access the LCD without a LCD controller such code must be very specialized to a certain hardware. And I assume, that none of the LCD manufacturers give out its code for free.
There are some LCD controller exist with built in driver stages, multiplexers, pixel memory and so on. But I think, none of these with an 8051 core.


The easier way, use a LCD with built in controller, accept, it was a black box and use its command interface.
