Bryan, like everyone else, gives his time free. I think it's commendable when vendors support their marketplace this way.
Similarly Steve Knapp from Triscend also contributes.

So long as these guys clearly state their affiliation (which they do), I think it's fair enough for them to recommend their own products

BTW: I often mention Keil & Triscend, but I have no connection with either [1] - that's just what I happen to be using at the moment, so that's what I know best!
