If you're going to spend $4K, get the package from Pads/Innoveda. They are the best for medium and small sized ventures.

Auto-routing is fine for guideline or easy projects. We seldom bother with auto-routing though we've had Spectra and Blaze autorouters on our PCs.

You may be able to find someone via the internet to layout your board cheaper than a local contractor will quote you.
