| Hi Everybody,
Okay, I'll be the first to admit that it's been quite a while since I last did this, so can anyone tell me if Atmel has changed the way their bootloader works in the last couple of years. I am using an AT89C51RC. In the past I could launch the bootloader for FLIP by holding EA hi, PSEN lo, during reset pulse (specifically the NGT edge). With this new chip (it's been on my shelf for about a year and a half, but under controlled humidity and esd conditions) I get the ASCII "U" character (0x55; 0b01010101) for the autobaud routine to the RxD pin (P3.0; pin 11 on PLCC44), but I get no response on the TxD pin (P3.1; pin 13 on PLCC44). So did Atmel change something and not tell me? Did I miss something? Or am I simply forgetting something about the bootloader sequence? Joe |
