#19521 - To Do List for simulator, Craig: |
Hi Craig,
From my other posting of "code crashing" you have mentioned that making the simulator to work with thr real world is on your to do list. Wel if may sugget on it. Like the computer's serial port can we also use the parallel port to simulate micro port I/Os ?? I think we can design a simple hardware with 4 sets of 8 bidirectional buffers and connect them to the data byte of the parallel port thru a multiplexer which will connect 1 set of 8 buffers to the data port at a time. By using the control port of the parallel port we can poll the 4 sets of 8 buffers. I think this way we can achieve simulating the 4 ports of 8052. I can give it a try to design the hardware and you may interface it with the simulator. Simon |
