Hi!
I am actually building a circuit in which a MCU AT89C52 (let MCU 1) generates data and send it to PC @300bps through max232.
Now I also have to show part of this data by 4 other MCU whose function is to just receive data and show it to 7-seg displays.
Now what I was thinking to do is that I will connect TXD of MCU 1 directly to RXD of 4 MCU while it is also connected to max232 also. I am connecting directly because i want to save 4 extra max232.

My questions are,
1, will MCU 1 will have enough fanout to drive 1 max232 and 4 AT89C52.
2, for how much distance communication between MCU 1 and other AT89C52 are possible.
