License protection is a tricky thing. I personally prefer dongles to software protection schemes like FlexLM.

Sometimes there are problems with the dongle, but you can still install the software on multiple machines and simply move the dongle to wherever you work. Software protection schemes are a lot tougher to migrate from one PC to another.
