#20755 - 16 bit shift left |
This is my first experience with this chip (or any chip for that matter) and I find it very versatile. However I have a need to be able to shift left a bit thru 16 bits. Since this is an 8 bit processor I am wondering how to do this. I went thru the tutorial (very interesting) and can find nothing that will help me.
So in a nutshell....I want to be able to put a 1 in bit 0 of a word and shift left up to 15 times without going thru carry and without having carry going into bit 0, Any help would be appreciated ! Thanks ! Juan M. Nuncio |
