Another method of left shifting without using carry would be to Multiply by two for each left shift and then look at B for hi byte and A for lo byte. Carry is not involved, however, it is cleared so PUSHing PSW before and POPing PSW after will preserve Carry.
I can't help but wonder why such an unusual restriction. Is this just to 'climb a mountain because it's there?' ?!?!?!? Hal |
