Exactly Craig! Very elegant solution. Also to Craig et. al.... If the only solution was to go thru the carry bit then I would have taken that solution. I have nothing against the carry bit, either personally or as a solution. I just mentioned the carry bit only because I read that the shift left would take my bit thru it and put it into bit 0 which is NOT what I wanted. Moot point since Craig came up with the solution and I have started to code it (forgive me for plagarizing your example Craig).
