#21340 - RE: max7219 with 8051: random results? |
The code I posted is not complete at all. The other part of it is mostly for controlling the LCD display also connected to the chip, but not really important for this matter(the rest of the code works fine, LCD operates perfectly as expected).
About how efficient the code is, well, its very inefficient. I'm a college student, and just now learning about all this, assembly is not my strongest right now.. I'm workign on it. Thanks for the code suggestions. Regarding LSB and MSB, the data sheet specifically says MSB first, D15 is first bit received, and D0 is last. About the 100 milliseconds. Well, Thats just something I added to rule out any timing problems, and to help me visualise, trough some LEDs in some pins, what subroutines the program is going thru. Its purely for debugging, since I dont have access to a scope. I did skip the vector table, program starts at 30h Oh, and I'm not using interrupts. again, thanks for the help, and any further help/critisism/comments or anything is much appreciated... |
