Your $150 editor will let you do things like edit a line on screen, 20 lines back in your listing because I suspect, it does the hard work for you in the background. Without a program like that, all your debug editing will have to be on a line by line basis, probably retyping the line you want to alter. Like you we used to write code in notepad, then download it to the 8052 via a program like hyperterminal. I wrote a 1000 line control system like that.

Which BASIC are you using ? I don't recognise the syntax.
