I'm designing HW since more than 20 years, SW since more than 15 years. Recently we made several different SMD uController Boards over approx 5 years. To my shame I have to say: SOT-23 IC's seem the most hideous things. Pin numbering. Out of 15 boards designed, more than 10 have upside down / 120° turned SOT-23 manually soldered components. Always the same. Update of libraries, new project, no time to do indepth design review. Just have a look at LM45 LM810 LM4040! Two years ago I promised it will never happen again, but here I am the same story. Perhaps I should do more gardening. Carrotts do not have 3 legs..
