#23428 - RE: watchdog reset???? |
Imagine you want to produce 100,000 units.
That takes a lot of imagination for me ;o) I only have a small company and produce only in small quantities (a couple of dozen, say). Every extra hour that I put in will buy me around 50 supervisor chips.... No point in designing a product very few people can afford to buy it. True. But there is, equally, no point in designing a product that will behave erratically. Would you buy, for instance, a TV set that you'd have to switch on and off a couple of times just to get it started properly? And its time 8051 manufacturers added the reset supervisor chip inside the microcontroller like microchip. I'll second that! Best regards, Rob. |
