#23431 - RE: watchdog reset???? |
you replied:
"You seem to under estimate the power of cutting cost down!" To: What about if i wanted to make a cheap toy !" You would build your prototype to support both a supervisor and a capacitor , you would then make everything work while using the supervisor and than at last change to a capacitor and tell the kid that if the thing does not start, try again - kids will do that automatically. I suggested that you used a supervisor chip during development to avoid the reset hassle while you were developing. I fail to see the cost of ONE supervisor chip for the prototype will upset production cost, but it will save development cost since, during development you save time not wondering whether the problem you are seeing is reset related. As a matter of fact one achievement I list on my resume is saving $1.82 on each of 500.000 units. Have fun, Erik Erik |
