#23742 - AT89C51 in NC machine
Hello World :-)
I’m working on an Amada nc turret punch, a grave yard system model Queen 342 and the Fanuc control tower which used perforated tape. The tape perforator was smahed beyond repair,I intend to build a communication box with serial I/O port and a byte sized out put port to connect between a PC and the optical reader of the Fanuc.I’m now living in Viet Nam where electronics components are very rare, the only MCU I can buy is AT89C51-24PC by Atmel.A 32 years electronics engineer and embryonic ’51 learner, hardware design is no problem. But the SOFT left me out cold! Please give counsel on this EMBEDED out line of mine. (now Erik’s style)
1-serial I/O routine to receive x-y code from the Windows’s Hyper terminal.
2- a sort of look up table to convert the x-y code to EIA code table of the Fanuc(byte size code).
3- a routine to convert EIA code to binary code and out put this signal to the Fanuc.
4- I will use AT89C51-24PC and a 2764 Ram to store the x-y code for execution.
Any help in routine soft ware would be welcome I’m using the free RAD51 by Systronics and home brew programmer based on the Batronix software.

THANKS all
