#23756 - RE: AT89C51 in NC machine |
Sorry Steve ! I goofed off I did meant one of those 8Kx8 SRAM type 6264 and I intend to store converted data received from my PC I only have 4K on chip the AT89C51-24PC for my program.Yep ye ole PC would have to replace the tape punch console which was destroyed beyond repair. And since there are no more tapes my box should receive ascii key symbols from PC via Hyper terminal and convert it to bit so I can couple them(old analog term) to the Fanuc’s former optical tape reader.Oh Igoofed off again! the proper term is EIA Tape code Chart it shows holes patterns for any key stroke on the tape punch console’s key board this key board looks exactly like the old conventional PC key board. Now this whole set up act like a punched tape to the Fanuc I only have to send bits oneway that’s all.
Now comes the important part: 1-Can you give me a list of routines to perform the above task. 2-If I only have 4K of on chip memory would the conversion table fit? There are over 50 character need to be convert, each occupy one byte. 3-What handshaking protool should I use. Big THANKS Khanh |
