Plenty of programmers available commmercially. If you want to build one as a beginner project, check out the following link:
http://www.kmitl.ac.th/~kswichit/easy2/easy2.htm This programmer however itself needs a programmed 89c51, so you have a chicken-and-egg sorta problem. However beginner projects should be simpler. Don't get into the code they have used for the programmer....Start of with a simple blink LED program, then learn I/O, interrupts, timers and then interfacing peripherals.
