That's not just restricted to mechanical devices; it applies to all devices - mechanical, electrical, electronic, semiconductor, etc, etc, etc!! eg, Solid-State Relays (SSRs) have been mentioned in this Thread: they aren't mechanical, but they certainly do also have design limitations, and using them beyond those limits is likely to damage them! |
