#25689 - Power supply temperature problem |
We have specific problem with DC-DC converter oscillations on our MCU board. Out of 8052 topic maybe, but:
We use stabilizer LM2937ET-5.0 from National Semiconductor on our board. DC load is 150mA. Blocking condenser NIPPON EX 16 VB 220M is applied on stabilizer's output. This condenser has low ESR (8,7ohm on -40°C and 100kHz). Stabilizer is starting to oscillate on the temperatures under -15°C. The frequency is app 1,15MHz and level app 100mV. Our equipment should be to operate till -25°C. Neither 2 parallel condensers do not solves this problem. On the same board is used similar stabilizer LM 2941T with the same type of blocking condenser, loaded on 250mA and it works without problems. Is there anybody who can advice or hint us. TIA Vaclav |
