i am sorry, i made a mistake. i saw it in an application note titled "Using a Personal Computer to program the AT89c51/c52...." this is available on the atmel site. speaking of the other programmer couldn't we set the voltage to 12v and 5v (i don't think i'll be using anything other than the AT89c51 for some time!!) may interfere with the software???
