Why don't you communicate between them two.

Assume the output pin of CPU1 connected to an input pin of CPU2.

The input PIN is an execution mask for the firmware on CPU2.

Now you can 'control' CPU2 from within CPU1.

Now you can debug your code on both CPU's and has the advantage of connecting both using WIRED OR !
